PA 6 C rod black (Cast, or G for German Guss) is probably the most commonly used type of PA (polyamide) in the mechanical industry. It has high toughness, good impact- and wear resistance, good sliding properties, and good heat stability. PA, or Nylon as it’s also known as, has one downside: high water absorption. This makes the material dimensionally unstable. Parts of PA 6 C can be manufactured either by machining sheets, round rods, or injection molding. This material is also available as sheets and in natural color.
