PVDF rod natural (polyvinylidene fluoride) has been called PTFE Light. It has a lot of the properties from PTFE, but slightly lower and at a lower price. The material is insoluble in water. It has excellent chemical resistance, mechanical, thermal, and electrical characteristics. It has a V-0 classification in accordance with UL94 as a standard. PVDF can be welded using standard tools for plastic welding. This is one of very few materials where Medtech is an applicable industry with standard material. This material is also available as sheets and in black.
